Our People

It’s who I am and what I believe: Bev Leonard celebrates 20 years with CHG

We could fill books with success stories about our people – many of whom have devoted their working lives to making a difference at our company – and one of the people we’d highlight is Bev Leonard.

Twenty years ago, Bev started with our company as a manager of the medical staff services team in our Weatherby Healthcare division. Over the years, she has witnessed the original team of three grow to a team of more than 140 people.

Today, Bev is a vice president, overseeing Weatherby’s medical staff services, business support and applications, and operations teams. She’s helping to guide CHG’s digital journey, while remaining true to our people and their happiness.

“CHG is a company that aligns with my personal values and vision,” says Bev. “They’re very progressive in the healthcare staffing industry and believe in doing the right things for the right reasons and that’s why I connect with what they do.”

“It’s more of a movement of our people and the way we treat them and not so much a job,” continues Bev. “It’s who I am and what I believe.”

Learn more about Bev and her career at CHG in the Q&A below.

What is your most memorable moment at CHG so far?

My first President’s Club in Hawaii was really memorable, and I believe it was the first one we ever did in Hawaii. Getting there was fun and every day at our company really leaves you with a memory.

What advice do you have for others looking to grow their career?

As hard as it is sometimes, be open to feedback, apply it, and always work on getting better.

What was it like when you first started working here?

The entire Weatherby team was not more than 50 people, and it was a tight family feel. Even though it gets more challenging as we grow, that feeling still follows us here today.

If you had a day to do anything at all, what would you do?

My first inkling would be to go to the beach and sit under an umbrella with margaritas. I love the sound of the ocean.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you bring with you?

My husband, Rene, our dog, Lolita, and money!
