What it takes to be one of the best
Fortune® awards this prestigious honor based on employee feedback, focused on workplace behaviors that drive trust, connection, and loyalty. The list looks for companies that create positive experiences for all employees. As Fortune® puts it, “The best companies create great work experiences not just for management, but also for their part-time employees on the front lines, for those who’ve just joined and those who’ve spent their whole career there, for every race and ethnicity, gender, neurotype, or other demographic in the organization.”
Hearing from the employees themselves
At CHG, our employees are at the heart of everything we do. Their stories reflect the significant aspects of being a CHG employee who helped us win this prestigious award. Here are the stories of just a few CHG employees who have the good fortune to be a part of the CHG family.
Putting people first: How CHG lives its core values
A life-saving benefit
CHG’s specialty drug benefit covered 100% of a highly costly medication needed to treat Ciara Wadsworth’s son’s health complications that impeded his eating. Wadsworth expressed immense relief as she realized she not only didn’t have to pay the $4,000 a month for the medication, but also saw her son talking, growing, and developing more day by day. “I’m at CHG for life!” says Wadsworth.

Bonds beyond business
CHG’s culture also extends to the doctors we work with. For Weatherby consultant Anna DeNobrega, this has allowed her to meet Dr. Sharon Breit, a friend she now considers as close as family. "I’ve been doing this job for two and a half years, and I can honestly say I’m excited to get up in the morning. It makes me feel like there are more Dr. Breit’s out there that I can find, help, and connect with. What we do every day really matters, and we are making an impact,” says DeNobrega.

80 miles of hope
For four years, Weatherby sales consultant Jamie Cohen has participated in The Crossing, a fundraiser featuring an 80-mile 82.3-mile endurance paddleboard challenge from Bimini, Bahamas, to Lake Worth Beach, Florida, for cystic fibrosis. “She joined the company last fall, telling her leaders up front she was committed to The Crossing and would need time off for the race. They were happy to help her reach her goal.

Making a difference in Honduras
Our employees are passionate about giving back. Five CHG employees participated in the Honduras shoe donation program called Soles4Souls. It was an unforgettable experience that allowed not just these five, but the entire company to participate as we collected shoe donations in preparation for the trip.
Deborah Guzman, senior account manager at our enterprise client solutions division, shares, “This was hard work, but it’s an experience we shared together. This trip touched my soul, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.”

Against all odds
Mike Atkinson, VP of CompHealth Perm, has dreamed of participating in the Ironman World Championship for years. But he was devastatingly struck with a rare gene mutation, causing a tumor in his brain. When he got it removed, he had to relearn everything, from walking to talking.
During his recovery, Atkinson recounts how CHG supported him. “Every single one of them stepped up. They carried the load for me,” Mike says.
Besides making sure the work got done, leaders and colleagues checked on him often, offering the couple support. “It’s just been amazing how the company has really lived our core value of Putting People First and understanding what we go through,” Mike says.
Mike vividly remembers the day he competed in the Ironman World Championship. “It was such an inspiration to be back up there doing what I love.”
