Name: Chris Abadie
Job Title: Mailroom supervisor for CHG in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Years with CHG: 15
What is your favorite part about working at CHG? My favorite part of working at CHG is the great work environment. It is truly a pleasure to work with this fantastic group of people that I refer to as my second family.
What one story best describes your experience at CHG? I have had so many wonderful experiences while working at CHG. To pick one would be virtually impossible. About six months ago, a friend who had been looking for work asked me for an outline of my resume so that he could review it to get some tips to improve his own. When I told him that I have not had a current and updated resume in 15 years, he was astounded. I explained to him that I have worked for my current employer, CHG, for 15 years and will never look for work again!
If someone asked you what you do, how would you answer them? This is definitely a tricky question because my job entails a little bit of everything. I help wherever needed, but my primary responsibilities include supervising the mailroom's daily operations, ordering office supplies and working as an alternate answering the receptionist phones.
Why did you choose to work at CHG? I didn't choose CHG; CHG chose me! I worked for a company called Health Providers, which CHG acquired. Until the acquisition, Health Providers was just a job and a decent place to work. CHG is more than just a job; CHG is a special way of life, full of excitement and opportunities.
What is your favorite event that you have participated in at CHG and why? On my 15th anniversary, my supervisor asked me to come to his desk. When I arrived, there was a multitude of employees who had taken time out of their busy day to come celebrate and congratulate me on my anniversary. I was presented with a Miami Dolphins #15 football jersey to commemorate my special day. What a wonderful sight to see all my friends there to share my special day!
What is your favorite Core Value at CHG? Putting People First. This is not just a catchy slogan; it's definitely a way of life.
If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? I would call my favorite pizza parlor and order an anchovy and feta cheese pizza. The best part is that when I call and give my order, they already know who I am. Not too many people order that.
What five things would you take to a deserted island?  The first three things that I would take with me would be my wife, Jennifer, and my two sons, Matthew and John David. The fourth item would be my Nintendo 3DS. I carry it in my pocket almost every day -- I do love video games! Finally, I would bring a football to allow my sons and I to play catch.
In a movie about your life, who would you choose to star as you? I would choose Ian Somerhalder of Lost and Vampire Diaries. These are my favorite shows of all time.
