CHG's benefits team recently made big changes to several of our benefits to make healthcare more affordable for our people —or, in some cases, available at no cost.

Teladoc

Based on feedback in our annual Employee Opinion Survey, the benefits team decided to offer Teladoc consultations — calls to a 24-hour physician consulting service — free to our people and their dependents, regardless of whether they have CHG's insurance. Previously, the first Teladoc call was free for every household every year; subsequent calls cost $38 each.

"Teladoc provides our employees convenient and effective healthcare at a fraction of the cost of urgent care," says Nicole Thurman, benefits director. "The responding physician can assist you over the phone by providing medical advice and, if appropriate, will even prescribe."

Marathon Health Centers

Additionally, our people and their families can now visit the Marathon Health Centers — our on-site clinics in both Salt Lake City, Utah and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — at no cost if they have CHG's insurance or are insured through another source, such as a spouse's employer.

"Health insurance is important, and our clinics can't replace the advance care you can access and pay for with your insurance," Nicole Thurman expresses. "What our clinics can provide is fast, convenient, cost-effective service — now available to everyone with any type of health insurance at no cost. What a great way to take care of each other!"
