Meet the CHG Employee Network Groups: The CHG Home Team

Because we are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, CHG encourages its people to create Employee Network Groups. Employees are welcome to use company resources, as well as $500 per year, to form groups based on their personal interests.

From outdoor trips to amateur radios, each of CHG's Employee Network Groups provide a way to establish meaningful relationships with co-workers. There are now 30 Employee Network Groups across all of our offices, with more than 800 employees participating.

Each week we'll highlight a different group and what they do to make a difference in our employees' lives and throughout the community.

This week we learn about the CHG Home Team. Here's what group leader Beqi Moncur had to say.

What's your Employee Network Group about?

There is a growing number of remote employees throughout CHG. This group is a way to get to know remote employees, even though we are scattered across the country.

Why did you start this group?

Remote employees face unique challenges, which may include how to feel connected to the company while working in a home environment. My leader asked me for ideas to increase engagement, since I can't participate in onsite team activities and events. This group seemed like a wonderful avenue for remote employees to remain connected to others in a similar situation and share best practices for telecommuting.

What is the focus of your Employee Network Group?

The main focus of the group includes the following: sharing best practices and assisting with problems or concerns, helping new remote employees and their leaders transition to a home-office environment, helping remote employees to feel connected to others in the company and helping to combat negative stereotypes associated with working at home.

How often do you meet?

We have a half-hour conference call every other month.

What are a few of the activities you're involved in?

Our conference calls tend to be informal and conversational in nature. All participants are invited to ask questions or open any topic of conversation.
