Fourteen families from CHG gave a helping hand on Saturday, Nov. 13, at CHG’s Family Volunteer Day at the Utah Food Bank. The event was for employees and immediate family members ages 12 and older.
Children under the age of 12 also had the opportunity to decorate boxes for food donations. The boxes get used for the more than 2,000 low-income senior citizens who receive a box of non-perishable food each month from the Utah Food Bank. Before senior food boxes are built and filled with food, they can be decorated by volunteers to help brighten the recipient’s day when they receive it.
Employees who volunteered include Julie Sibthorp, James Peterson, Tammy Petersen, Brooke Ziakas, Dawn Everson, Rebekah Pond, Tanya Strasdas, Bielle Crump Albrecht, Rachael Fletcher, Robert Imhoff, Jeff Gwilliam, Tina Rasmussen, Gale Moore and Kerry Wagner.
