Liz Van Halsema, corporate communications specialist at CHG Healthcare, was recently interviewed by MarketWatch, an international website that’s devoted to business and finance. MarketWatch reporter Jon Swartz’s story focuses on tech employees working from home who moved to another state but kept their same jobs.
Liz is working at a lake house in Michigan while spending the summer with her family. She told MarketWatch, “I’m not sure where I will end up living, but I can work anywhere with the support of my company.”
CHG employees have been working from home since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March. The company has provided computers and other equipment necessary for employees to successfully transition to their homes.
MarketWatch reports, “As Americans hunker down for the long haul at home, many are choosing to relocate while keeping their jobs. An American Community Survey found the fastest-growing commute was no commute, as work-from-home arrangements become more popular everywhere.”
