A strong community is built by individuals uniting together. That’s why CHG Healthcare partners with the United Way of Salt Lake in their annual Day of Caring. Each year, a group of CHG employees put the company’s core value of putting people first into practice and join the United Way in completing service projects throughout the community.
This year’s volunteer efforts focused on enhancing Midvale Elementary and Midvale Middle School’s grounds for students to enjoy. Over 20 volunteers from CHG worked alongside other corporate groups in preparing the school’s community garden for winter, removing litter and weeds from the school grounds, and preparing emergency kits for students and their families.
“Day of Caring is one of my favorite days of the year!” says Sam Schwendiman, marketing ops manager at CHG. “I feel humbled to take a few hours of my day and give my time to a good cause. Not only do I get to meet new people around the company, but we get to share in fun, often sweaty, experiences. Always a good time!”
