During the height of the coronavirus pandemic, CHG Healthcare moved more than 3,000 employees from offices around the country and into their homes. To support their transition, CHG distributed laptops to every person in the company. Employees were also able to pick up their desk chairs and multiple monitors to create an efficient at-home workplace.
"Learning that flexibility has been really empowering for me," says Jamie Barker, hospital privileges leader for CHG's CompHealth division. "Having a laptop has been quite the luxury, as I've been able to relocate my work station."
As a mom to a three-year-old and a puppy, Jamie has to great creative when it comes to balancing work and home life.
Jamie shares, "Bath time is a great time to get through emails. Sandbox time is a wonderful time for one-on-ones!"
How does she do it all? In this video, Jamie Barker gives us a firsthand look into her work-from-home life.
At the heart of CHG’s core values sits Putting People First. As of January 2021, almost all CHG employees remain remote to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Here is a look at some of their remote workplaces.
