Weatherby and CompHealth join forces in self-defense course

Don't mess with CHG! Weatherby Healthcare and CompHealth employees in our Fort Lauderdale office kicked some serious butt in a self-defense course held late November.

"It was amazing. I would even say life-changing," says Tanya Kabat, a customer service specialist. "I took a self-defense class in the past, but it was just the moves. Now I have a little bit of knowledge to go with it."

The course was a collaborative effort by Tanya, Shelley Perri and Krissy Quinlan with CompHealth. It all started with a conversation over lunch. Krissy overheard her co-workers discussing some safety concerns and volunteered her husband, Mark, a retired police office, to teach a three-day self-defense course.

The response was overwhelming. More than 50 people signed up for the course and even more showed interest but couldn't attend.
