Weatherby Healthcare is like a family in every single way: My colleagues are extremely helpful and caring. I have been very impressed with the ability and tenacity that the leaders try to teach me, and how they help me to be the best consultant I can be.
For example, I am a competitive cyclist, and Jon Poliseno, director of the Weatherby Healthcare hospitalist division in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., always uses comparisons between cycling and my job as a consultant. He always tells me how in both cycling and consulting, you have to build a base, push through the hard times, suffer and give it everything you have -- but at the end of the day, it all comes together!
The way that the leaders at CHG treat us is unheard of. I find myself coming home to my family and telling them how lucky I have been to be given this opportunity. I love being able to explain to my friends and family what I do, and what my role is at CHG. I find myself getting excited and talking in medical terms that I had no knowledge of a few months ago.
In the few months that I have been there, I have had the pleasure to work with providers from all different backgrounds and cultures. It has been an amazing learning experience so far, and the best thing is that I know that when I place a doctor somewhere, I'm helping many patients.
