For Myken Smith, assignment coordinator at CompHealth locum tenens in Salt Lake City, Utah, the best part about CHG is how much sincere concern for the well-being of others is exhibited on a daily basis.
"People here really care about you and your career," she says.
Myken, who has been with CHG for four years, explains that her role within the company is handling the administrative portion for the medical oncology team, a job she truly enjoys.
"I love being a constant for our physicians on an ever-changing team," she says. "I love being able to help my team grow and succeed."
Read Myken's story below to find out how her co-workers helped her during a personal tragedy. A little more than a year ago, my mother passed away unexpectedly. One moment I was driving home from work, and four hours later I was on a plane to Tennesee. When I got back, my team had reached out to some of my other co-workers to surprise me. They had gathered enough money for my daughter and me to fly back for the memorial service three months later and had gifted me enough PTO for the trip. The love I have for my team and co-workers overflowed into tears. These truly are the best people in the world!Would you like working with the "best people in the world"? I came to CHG after having been laid off for eight months. I would have taken any job by then and honestly knew nothing about the company. At that time, I couldn't have imagined what a blessing this company and its employees would be in my life.
