Because we are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, CHG encourages its people to create Employee Network Groups. Employees are welcome to use company resources, as well as $500 per year, to form groups based on their personal interests.
From amateur radio enthusiasts to support groups, each of CHG's Employee Network Groups provide a way to establish meaningful relationships with co-workers. There are now 30 Employee Network Groups across all of our offices, with more than 800 employees participating.
Each week we'll highlight a different group and what they do to make a difference in our employees' lives and throughout the community.
This week we learn about the Finer Things Group. Here's what group leader Ashley Hobbes had to say.
What's your ENG about?
It's mostly a book club, but we also go to the movies occasionally and meet to watch a variety of TV shows.
Why did you start this group?
Many of our teammates love reading, movies and TV shows. We started this group to discuss and recommend books, movies, shows — anything entertainment-related.
How often do you meet?
It varies. We meet for lunch to discuss the books we are reading, usually every three to four weeks. We are currently watching a TV series, so we are meeting once a week to watch the next episode. We coordinate outings to the movie theater much less frequently.
