Did you know that your office environment has a major impact on your happiness at work? CHG's Putting People First culture heavily emphasizes the happiness of our people, which is why we have Bobby Stevens, workplace solutions manager for our real estate and project management department.
"The surrounding environment can evoke a feeling in people and set the tone for the work day," Bobby shares. "Research shows when a work space is open, inviting and provides access to natural daylight, employees feel more engaged and connect to their co-workers and the job they're doing. Ultimately, people are the determining factor in happiness and job satisfaction, but their office environment can elevate that experience."
Bobby has been with CHG for six months and says she loves it and the opportunities her role provides to contribute to the success of our people and our company.
"My role consists of complete project management for new construction projects, including design and implementation, leading the design efforts internally, and managing our external design and construction efforts," says Bobby. "In addition, I also manage the design and space standards, including furniture and fixed finish selections."
In her few months here, Bobby has already helped on numerous projects, including our North Carolina office's recent move and preparations for our Salt Lake City headquarters move in the next couple of years. Her efforts ensure we keep to our high standards set by our core value of Quality and Professionalism. In fact, Bobby says Quality and Professionalism is at the forefront of every project she works on.
"The first step is evaluating how projects affect the people who will use them and making sure the solutions are thoughtful and support our people's needs as well as ensuring these projects can be executed and will work over time," Bobby says. "With a background in design and architecture, I have a deep personal commitment to continue to develop and improve these skills, so I can keep this knowledge up-to-date and continue to deliver the best workplace solutions possible."
