Kerstin James, a learning and development specialist at CompHealth locum tenens, loves to bake. She makes delicious treats for her family, friends, co-workers ‚Äî and people she’s never met. Her passion for baking and helping others led her to Icing Smiles, an international nonprofit that gives bakers a chance to make a difference by providing cakes for children with serious medical issues.
Earlier this year, Kerstin used the Volunteer Time Off that CHG provides to make a cake for Molly, a colleague’s daughter, who at age 2 was diagnosed with a condition that required a heart transplant.
Grab a tissue and watch how Kerstin’s cake brought a smile to a little girl who needed it:
Molly’s dad, Doug Weiler, a medical staff services coordinator for CompHealth locum tenens, is happy to report that Molly is doing great!
Kerstin James is one of our many team members who have made a difference by using their Volunteer Time Off. Each calendar year, CHG offers eight hours of paid VTO to our employees to give back to the community by volunteering for a nonprofit organization of their choosing.
