For Brownie Brimage, sales consultant at Foundation Medical Staffing, the past year at CHG has shown that the company is truly dedicated to its culture and core values, something that many companies fail to accomplish.

What do you do at CHG, and what do you like about your job? I help connect dialysis nurses and technicians with dialysis clinics or hospital programs that are in need of our help.
When did you come to CHG? I started with Foundation Medical Staffing in September 2012.
How did you hear about CHG, and what made you want to apply? I was referred by two previous co-workers, one of those being my sister. I finally decided to apply after hearing great things from them about CHG for several years. They shared how they were able to help dialysis nurses travel to new areas while furthering their careers and experience, ultimately providing care to patients who might not otherwise have access to the care that they need. They also shared things about the great culture and work environment that CHG and Foundation Medical Staffing provide.
Where were you working before you came to CHG? Before coming to CHG I worked for a large bank as a bank manager and previously spent many years in retail management.
How has working at CHG compared to your other working experience? I was truly amazed when I learned that having fun was part of our culture. From my previous professional work experiences, most of the company's core values related strictly to results and the values that were posted weren't always shown by upper management. Seeing our company's core values embraced and practiced from our senior leadership team down to all levels in our organization proves that having a healthy culture embraced by all leads to results.
What can you tell me about your first day? My first day was very memorable. Everyone in the office was very welcoming. Each team member came to introduce themselves and share words of advice to be successful.
What has been your most memorable experience so far? My first day of training stands out to me. Not only was it my first day in training, but it was also my birthday. While getting to meet many new people in a new office I got to wear a GIANT birthday cake hat! It was somewhat embarrassing at the time, but I got many more happy birthday wishes than usual. (Thanks, Stephanie, for letting everyone know!)
How have you seen CHG's core value of Quality and Professionalism in action? The level of professionalism in our office is immediately evident by everyone's willingness to help our team toward our common goal. Although we do have fun competitions from time to time, we all know that everyone is here to help one another.
How do you know that your work at CHG matters? There are many examples of how the work we do makes a difference, but there is a recent example that stands out. I had a nurse that was going through a tough time personally, recently divorced and unable to find work in her local area. After getting to know her, I was able to connect her with a clinic a few hours from her home area that was in desperate need of a nurse with her dialysis expertise. She was able to fill their staffing need as well as get back on her feet after a difficult personal situation. Since that time, she has been successful on three separate assignments with us.
Do you have any advice for new or potential CHG employees? Work hard, do your best and have fun to build your personal brand.
