At CHG, we love getting out of the office to give back to the community. For their quarterly activity, CHG's project and places division in Salt Lake volunteered at the Utah Family Service Center and helped sort through donated items.
Three dozen members from the real estate, facilities, housing and travel teams sorted through thousands of articles of children's clothing and bedding. They counted, folded, repacked and labeled the items, making them available for immediate use at the three different Utah Family Service locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
"It was a privilege to volunteer at the Family Service Center," says Jeana Hart, a leisure travel consultant. "It was awesome to experience such a wonderful place that offers a safe environment for children operating here in our communities."
The Utah Family Service Center operates a 24-hour crisis nursery for at-risk kids and offers additional services such as support groups for those who have been abused and housing programs for homeless families.
"It is great knowing you were able to help make a small difference in a child's life. I look forward to going back and volunteering again," Jeana says.
