She may have only been with CHG Healthcare for three months, but Georgina Martin, medical staff coordinator at Weatherby Healthcare in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has already come to love the people she works with and the company she works for.
"I have never worked for a company where people are so clearly the number-one priority," Georgina says. "The company makes such an investment in the employees, which creates a culture of putting others first, and you can feel it with how people interact with one another. The majority of the people I've interacted with are positive, which is rare, you don't see a lot of that in most corporations."
In addition to the culture of caring, Georgina also appreciates the challenges and opportunities to grow that her job affords her.
"I like that every day is different," she says. "Every day presents a new challenge to learn from. I can work on various files from providers with different specialties and learn more about them, or I have the opportunities to help teammates when they are overloaded. I like being challenged and growing, and having the chance to work on different things allows me to see different aspects of the doctors that work for us."
In her short time here, Georgina has also recommended CHG to two of her friends. Read her story below to find out why Georgina thinks so highly of this company!

I studied organizational leadership in college, which wasn't necessarily geared toward the job I now have with CHG, but has nevertheless given me a unique perspective of the business and the organization itself. I spent years reading these case studies on the most successful companies in the world. I learned about the mindset of the best business leaders, about the best business practices and about what drives the business. After reading about great companies in textbooks, I knew I wanted to work for a company like that. When I graduated, I tried looking toward companies on Fortune's list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For and initially ended up working somewhere else. However, when I saw that there was an opening at CHG, I was excited to check it out. I was surprised I got hired because I didn't have a background in credentialing or sales, but I was excited to have a job here anyway. It has been so exciting to see practices I read in books actually put into action. I've loved seeing a company actually practicing the principles of investing in its employees. I had not seen that before coming to work here. The people at CHG really do what they say they do. They really do put people first. I have opportunities to see that on a daily basis, whether I'm meeting with other employees, attending our weekly meetings or enjoying occasional celebrations like Employee Appreciation Week or Weatherby Healthcare's Red Ribbon Rally. My first glance at this company's investment in its employees was when I met Pat Kennedy, the president of Weatherby Healthcare, in my interview. I was so taken aback that the president of the division would want to speak with new hires, but there she was. I've only been here three months, but each month I've been here, I've seen some big way that CHG puts the employees first, whether it's through meetings in which we are encouraged to voice our opinions or the engagement activities. It's amazing to see how much we as employees are appreciated and valued. I've already referred two friends, one of whom just completed her first month here. It's a fantastic company.
