CHG's IT and marketing teams made the holidays a bit brighter for families staying at The Road Home, a Utah nonprofit agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake county and surrounding areas.
After raising $2,300 to buy food and gifts for those staying at a shelter in Midvale, Utah, team members visited the building Dec. 10 and served more than 250 people dinner, made Christmas ornaments with kids and gave each person a blanket.
The teams also competed to bring in the most donations for The Road Home — and while marketing won the competition, both teams were generous in their contributions. Together, they brought in six strollers, 98 blankets, 123 coats, 124 pairs of men's pants, 129 pairs of gloves, 908 ounces of shampoo, 1,284 diapers, 5,690 baby wipes, 13,546 ounces of laundry detergent and various other items.
All items were donated to the Road Home shelter in downtown Salt Lake City Dec. 20.
